Wendy Malloch, President
I started playing golf at age 40 (yes, proof that life does begin at 40!) when I moved from Scotland to Texas. It was an Austin EWGA flier at Golfsmith that finally got me to contact the local Chapter, even though I had heard of it several times, including a recommendation during my first golf group lessons. My goals were to play more golf and get more relaxed playing golf with 'strangers'. That was back in 2001 - and now I believe if you play golf, you are not a stranger! The EWGA has had a marked positive impact on my life - volunteering on the board has been an excellent development opportunity - learning how to balance the books as Treasurer, forcing some personal organization skills as Secretary, understanding the benefits and inner workings of EWGA as Membership, gaining insight into social media and web management as part of communications, and now Chapter President - leading, not following. My closest friends are EWGA members - we have traveled for golf all over the world - with some great stories to tell!
During work hours, I am an Engineering Manager for Freescale Semiconductor, I enjoy my job in Research & Development, but I am always looking forward to the weekends when I can get out and golf again!

Teri Evans, Member Recruitment Director
Teri Evans is a local business owner of two (2) Hand & Stone Massage and Facial Spa’s in Austin. I have been playing golf for about 12 years. I joined the EWGA shortly after trying out golf. My first event was a EWGA Happy Hour. I remember the women were quite friendly and I thought right away that I would make friends with some of the ladies. I am now an avid golfer. I take my golf clubs on every trip I take now. I take several trips a year with my golfing friends from EWGA.
I have served on the EWGA Board in many positions over the last 12 years. I am currently on the board as Membership Recruitment. I enjoyed my experience in the EWGA and I want to share it with others.
