The Jennifer MacCurrach Golf Scholarship
2009 marked the EWGA-Austin Chapters 10th Anniversary, and to celebrate, the chapter has established the Jennifery MacCurrach Golf Scholarship intended to support deserving participants of the LPGA-USGA Girls Golf of Austin program.
Named after Jennifer MacCurrach, PGA and LPGA Teaching and Club Professional Member; founding Executive Director of The First Tee of Greater Austin and the LPGA-USGA Girls Golf of Austin; as well as active member and volunteer instructor with the EWGA of Austin, the scholarship will be awarded as one $1,000 scholarship or two $1,000 scholarships depending on the caliber of applicants.
Eligibility:
- Applicant must be a female
- Applicant must be a resident of Central Texas; Travis, Williamson, Hays or Bastrop County
- Has been active member of the LPGA-USGA Girls Golf Program of Austin for at least two years.
- High School Senior or current full-time undergraduate student in college.
- Students may reapply each year for the scholarship.
Deadlines:
- Completed applications are due by 5pm on December 11, 2009. Incomplete or late applications will not be accepted.
- All applications must be typed and emailed to Cindy Spears at scholarship@ewga-austin.com.
Recipient(s) will be notified by January 4, 2010. and the scholarship award for college students will take place in January 2010 at the beginning of new semester. If the award is given to a high school senior, the scholarship will be awarded their first semester of college.
