EWGA Supporting Texas Conference for Women this November

EWGA has signed up to be a “Supporting Organization” for three upcoming state conferences for women. EWGA is listed on the invitation that is sent to thousands of women in each of the respective states, listed on the conference websites, and in the conference programs. This is an opportunity for expanded awareness about EWGA.

Texas Conference for Women: www.txconferenceforwomen.org scheduled for November 10 in Houston, TX.
Pennsylvania Governor’s Conference for Women
Massachusetts Conference for Women

All EWGA members in these three states will be receiving an email informing them about the conference near them – and we hope some EWGA members will be able to attend (and proudly wear an “Ask Me About EWGA!” pin).

If you’re interested in attending, please email board@ewga-austin.com so we may coordinate a group!

Austin Chapter Championship - Congratulations to all our winners!

Our Chapter's annual Championship was held on Sunday June 13th at the Balcones Spicewood Golf Club. 2010 turned out to be the year of the scramble, find out who made it through to the semi finals in July!

Ladies Fun Play: South League

West League Added @ Falconhead Golf Club

Hello Ladies! We're pleased to announce the addition of an EWGA West League at Falconhead Golf Club in Southwest Austin. Play is on Thursday evenings, beginning at 5:30 pm from June 10th through September 30th.

Cost: $25.00 + tax (includes green fees, cart, and warm-up balls)
Non-EWGA players may play twice, but must join by the third week to continue to play. Handicaps are utilized so everyone has an equal chance of winning prizes.

JOIN WEST LEAGUE!

Golfing Gals @ Forest Creek

Tonight a small group of us golfed together at Forest Creek in North EastAustin (Round Rock). I had the pleasure of golfing with Genny and Theresa,who were gracious enough to golf with me in a scramble format as I'm new tothe game and just getting out on the course. This was my first 9 holes andI had a great time!

The course was beautiful, and Genny was kind enough to coach me along on little things like when to remove the flag from the green, reminders of what clubs to use (I'm getting better at this, but it's nice to have help) and both she and Theresa were very patient with my slices. Good Lord!

But we made it, and had the pleasure of getting to know each other along theway. Genny also taught me about the ball catcher that I need to pick up at Target - thanks Genny!

Looking forward to seeing everyone Monday night @ the Iron Cactus North, aswell as Fun Play at Grey Rock on Tuesday night. Golf is fun, and if you're not having fun, you're missing something. Attitude is everything, and don't sweat the small stuff, right ladies?
